Environmental and Carbon Project Manager - Expert/Consultant

We’re looking for a mission-driven Environmental and Carbon Project Manager to bring technical expertise to support the development and management of high-integrity carbon projects.

Specific responsibilities will include:

•       Leading the assessment and management of nature-based carbon projects

•       Analyzing legal underpinnings, laws, and regulations facing the carbon market

•       Developing scalable methodologies for assessing project quality and baselines

•       Liaising with stakeholders including project developers, NGOs, and local communities

•       Ensuring projects meet rigorous standards for audit-ready transparency

•       Those who are successful will progress quickly, either as individual contributors or following a management path.

We’re looking for someone who has: 

•       Extensive experience in environmental project management and carbon markets

•       Deep understanding of nature-based solutions (NbS) and carbon sequestration

•       Familiarity with international carbon standards and methodologies

•       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•       Cares deeply about the climate and ecosystems of earth

•       Is a self-starter who thrives in constantly evolving environments, ideally with early-stage start-up experience

•       Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
